Ghana Policewoman Detained and Suspended for Scalding Colleague with Boiling Water

The Ghana Police Service has arrested and suspended Constable Alonsi Elizabeth, a female officer, after she allegedly inflicted severe burns on a colleague by pouring boiling water on her during an argument.

Reports indicate that the confrontation between the two officers escalated, leading Constable Alonsi to pour hot water on her colleague, resulting in serious burns from the face down to the chest. The incident has sparked widespread outrage.

A statement from the police, issued on Tuesday, March 25th, confirmed that the accused officer has been detained and will face both internal disciplinary actions and legal consequences.
